Dear sir, madam,
On the evening of Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) will replace the current Homebriefing website (http://homebriefing.nl) by a new and improved version.
The primary reason for this replacement is the end-of-life situation of the current system, but the replacement does not change the current functionalities offered in the system. However, the new system will enable LVNL to add improvements to the website functionality, like METEO information, at a later stage. These improvements are planned to be released in 2021. The location of the website will not change (http://homebriefing.nl), however there will be a new landing page in place.
All Homebriefing users must re-register
Due to privacy legislation and incompatibility, it is not possible to automatically transfer existing user data and flight plan templates to the new system. All users must re-register their account at the new Homebriefing website upon their first visit after the implementation on the evening of June 22nd, 2021.
Using the ‘old’ system for flight plans beyond June 22nd, 2021
All flightplans that are entered in the current system (before the evening of June 22nd, 2021) and in the new system (from the evening of June 22nd, 2021) will be sent to the Flight Service Centre. However, flight plans for flights that are planned to take place when the new system is implemented and that are submitted by using the ‘old’ system will not be visible in your account in the new system. We therefore urge you to minimize the use of future flight plan filing in the ‘old’ system. Wait with the filing of those flight plans till after June 22nd, 2021.
For example: if you plan to fly in the morning of Wednesday, June 23rd , 2021, you are requested to submit your flightplan using the new system on that date.
Quick Start Guide
A Quick Start Guide can be obtained via the following link: https://www.lvnl.nl/media/3932/qrc-gebruikers-en-v30.pdf. It explains the functionality of the new Homebriefing system. This mailing and the guide will also be available at the Homebriefing landing page. In addition, the new system has many helpful features that can assist users to file their flight plan.
